Large traditional 19th century stone farmhouse with private pool, garden and views. Ca de Luca is situated up a beautiful wooded hillside in northern Umbria near the border withTuscany, with uninterrupted views across the valley. The house, arranged over 3 floors, sleeps 12 + 2 infants in 3 double bedrooms and 3 twin bedrooms, 2 travel cots and highchairs are provided at no extra charge. The house has been furnished as a home rather than a holiday rental and is very well equipped for both adults and children The 10 x 5 metre pool is solar heated with a salt water chlorinator, very good for the skin. There is a large wisteria covered pergola by the pool for al fresco eating complete with lanterns and candles for the evening. All the beds have cotton linen and light summer duvets for cooler nights, both bath and pool towels provided. The local town is 15 mins drive and has 2 good supermarkets, post office, internet cafe, bakers, butchers etc. The village (5 mins) has a good little grocery store with deli counter and 2 great restaurants. There are lots of lovely hillside villages to visit nearby, but if you wanted to visit some more well known historical towns, Perugia is 40 mins, Assisi 60 mins, Gubbio 40 mins, Cortona 35 mins, Citta di Castello, 20 mins. Pony trekking is available in the village, golf is near Perugia, tennis is in the local town. Daily flights with Ryanair and Easyjet.
