Alet les Bains, a charming picturesque village in Aude, southern France.  I have a 16th century 2 bedroom cottage with garden for rent.  Currently, September & October weeks are available but I also rent it on a longer term basis for the winter on a monthly rental basis.  The village has a pool, thermal baths, mineral water and lots of sporting activities.  A 25 minute drive to Carcassonne, just over an hour to the Pyrenean ski fields and Mediterranean beaches.  A perfect spot if you're looking for somewhere for a warmer winter or to write/paint in peace and tranquillity.

Napoleonic farmhouse with large 12 x 6 metre alarmed pool, and stunning views.  Complete privacy situated in it's own land with majestic 400 year old oaks providing natural shade.  The house, which sits high on an escarpment amidst magnificent rolling countryside with views to the south to the Pyrenees, has been lovingly restored, retaining all its French charm.  The house sleeps 12 but is equally suitable for smaller numbers.

Larriberau is our much loved second home so there is every creature comfort for parents and children.  There are 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, plus separate cloakroom and separate shower room.  The layout of the house is such that it is equally ideal for two families sharing, but enjoying a modicum of privacy!  Or a smaller group just in the main house.  The Games Barn provides table tennis, table football and a small billiards table.

The area is steeped in history, with plenty to see do and visit.  At the same time there are attractions for children.  All this will be found in information books at the house.  This is also foie gras country, lots of interesting wines and Armagnac.

We can be fairly flexible on arrival and departure days at certain times of the year.
