Aardvark Safaris

Victoria Langmead (1991-1998) heads up the California office of Aardvark Safaris, which specialises in designing your dream African holiday.  We combine our expertise with clients’ wishes to create individual trips for multi-generation families, singles, honeymooners and friends.  All of us have lived and worked in Africa and return every few months to ensure that we consistently offer the finest camps and lodges, top guides and most exciting holidays to our clients.  We’ve slept in the beds, eaten the meals and walked with the guides.  With offices in Hampshire, London, Edinburgh and California with highly experienced consultants you can be confident that we have the knowledge and expertise to ensure that all your holiday wishes will be fulfilled.  We turn imagination into reality.  That’s why our clients come back again and again, eager to explore the continent that has captured their hearts.  See www.aardvarksafaris.co.uk for further details.

South Africa

A house on its own private game reserve on the Palala River in the Waterberg, 3 hours drive north of Johannesburg airport.  Jembisa has 5 double or twin en-suite bedrooms, with extra space for children, a salt water swimming pool, floodlit tennis court and a deck with views over the river to the distant hills.  You'd have your own cook, maids and game rangers to take you on safari, driving or walking through the reserve where you can see giraffe, rhino, zebra, water hog, hippo and a wide variety of antelope, together with bushmen paintings and archaeological sites.  Go for a week so you have enough time to see the surrounding area, where you can ride in the in wild on horses - or trained elephants, feed orphaned rhino, or learn about farming.
